From the Barack Obama Playbook: Managing Expectation

This is my first blog. But I guess you new that. The purpose of this thing is to just get out the thoughts, feelings, emotions or views in my head. So how am I going to manage expectation? I encourage you to have none. If you came here for literary excellent, wonderful prose and enlightening social commentary; you stopped at the wrong blog. Just go two blogs down on your left to noddfa-imaginings and you will find your just reward. But, if you are here “for the glory, for the story, or for the bloody privilege of telling me how bad I really am”, Ding, Ding, Ding, then you are in the right place. On the best case scenario I can hope for is the lucky occasion that I will be able to string words together for a close to coherent sentence that might convey a small glimpse of the wonders that amazes me on any giving day. Worst case scenario, you read a lot of bad spelling and poor grammar that amount the experience of actually speaking with me in person (minus the spit shower of course).

For anyone who has spent more than a few moments with me will tell you (for those people I offer my condolences and suggest you get your money back from your tour guide), I have a strange way of seeing the world. It is nothing philosophically earth shattering new but it is my view. I think we are here to have, experience and create moments in ours and others lives. When your life flashes before you (I know, a tried cliché but stay with me), I don’t believe we see our entire life but the just the Cliff Note; just enough to get you the c+ if you did not study. Because of this, the routine thing aren’t remembered but the moments defined by you. So the anything in your life can become a moment and anything you do in life can create a moment. Therefore we live life for the moments. So our purpose in life is to experience and create as many moments as possible, so when opening night comes (Life Flashes) we can enjoy the show. Now I know all moments are not positive or even good, but if we remember them with significant (distortion of the truth or not) then they will be a scene that did not end up on the cutting room floor. Movie Quote (butchered of course) "If life is worth living then it is worth recording".

So what is my real purpose for writing a blog? I want to record the scenes, moments, I experience (either in my head or as part of the world) to share with friend I know, one I have not met or just visitors that want to stop for awhile and enjoy view.

Welcome.

  1. Thanks for the plug but don't sell yourself short. These are your experiences in your voice that you are sharing. And a shared moment is the best moment of all.
